The name Laven'dear was created to express the preciousness of the women who serve and the women served. Because we are in the Great BACK Forrest, dear is also meant to symbolize deer, and most specifically, DOE~ Daughters Of Eve~ as CS Lewis made popular in his Chronicles of Narnia series.
Lavender is a fragrant flowering herb whose name comes from the Latin lavare, meaning "to wash". This brings to mind Jesus' first miracle recorded in John 2, of turning water into wine at the wedding in Cana of Galilee. Jesus instructed the servants to "fill 6 stone waterpots with water" and the servants filled them to the brim. What is noteworthy is the text mentions these waterpots were for ceremonial washing or purification. Lavare! The water became wine and the party continued! Wine and lavender both embody a royal purple color.
