Muiravians

I have carried for many years a vision that has only grown the longer I have carried it. It began as what I thought was a God sized vision. I have come to realize I don't even know how to comprehend what that might mean or look like. I pray, I wait, I study, I watch, I listen, learn, grow, dream. As years of my life continue to pass, the smallness and brevity of life becomes more and more both humbling and compelling. There is a strength in my step that is born of keeping awareness of need and calling, and conviction that I as much as anyone, am here by design, in this precise time in history.

I want to spend more time in prayer. How much time? More time. Always. In His presence, singing, worshipping, trusting, leaning....there is so much need in the world today, and in the Body of Christ. Jesus gave His life for us. He purchased peoples for Himself from every tongue, tribe and nation. Prayer is heaven and earth together, in relationship and partnership. There is no eternal fruit born apart from prayer. There is no prayer that does not bear eternal fruit. Prayer is the presence. Prayer is the power.

The Moravians fascinate and inspire me. They were people just like we are people, and they began praying in August of 1727 and kept praying, on purpose, for well over 100 years. They wove unending prayer into the fabric of their lives and community and they maintained that pace and pattern, day and night, night and day, without interruption for over 100 years. That is what I want to see. The Body of Christ all over the world in unending worship and prayer for the nations. Jesus taught us to pray, "Your Kingdom come. Your will be done. On earth as it is in heaven." What is happening in heaven? Unending worship and intercession!

This earth, the people on this earth, all of us, our neighbors and all nations, need this. Always. Unending. Covered. In Prayer. Suite Hours Of Prayer.
